Inspired by historical Shaker examples, this side table, or "sewing stand", is a versatile form with timeless appeal. Made of the finest Pennsylvania cherry hardwood available, the 20”x18” top is supported by a hand-turned column and three graceful “spider” legs which elevate this beautiful form. Hand dovetailed drawers can be accessed from both sides and are adorned with handcrafted drawer pulls. The piece is finished with a premium mixture of penetrating linseed oil and natural pine resin to provide long-lasting and easily refreshed protection. Quality materials and superb craftsmanship make this a beautiful addition to any décor and will help it last for generations to come.

In order to keep shipping costs more reasonable, this item is shipped in a semi-flatpack box with simple instructions for a 5 minute final assembly. Glue is provided to attach the legs to the post along with the two screws needed to attach the top. All that is needed from the customer is a handheld screwdriver. In order to prevent overdriving of the provided screws, power tools of any type should NOT be used.
